HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT/WAIVER
K9 Nose Work® Workshops and Off-Site Trainings with Gail McCarthy
It is understood that the undersigned relinquishes all claims against and agrees to hold harmless the instructor and all property owners for any loss or injury which may have been caused directly or indirectly to any person, dog, or property while participating in these K9 Nose Work® Workshops and Off-Site Trainings stated above, or related activities. The undersigned hereby assumes all responsibility and liability for all claims.
It is understood that every dog participating in these K9 Nose Work® Workshops and Off-Site Trainings will be in the care and control of the dog’s owner/handler at all times. All dogs must be confined to a crate or in a vehicle while not working with the instructor. No dog shall be tied out or left unattended in a vehicle without being carefully monitored by its owner/handler, especially when the hotter seasonal temperatures occur. It is further understood that the undersigned agrees to be fully responsible for the actions of his/her dog(s) while on the grounds on which these K9 Nose Work® Workshops and Off-Site Trainings are held. Consequently, if the undersigned fails to control his/her animal(s) to the satisfaction of the instructor, including uncontrolled barking (especially in residential areas where the K9 Nose Work® Workshop or Off-Site Training may be held), he/she will be required to remove themselves and their dog(s) from the grounds without a refund. Furthermore, any participant who demonstrates unsafe, unkind, or belligerent behavior will be asked to leave the property without refund.
All dog owners/handlers are required to provide adequate care for their animals while present at these K9 Nose Work® Workshops and Off-Site Trainings, while also cleaning up after their dogs and themselves. Those who do not comply may face extra financial charges or be dismissed from the premises without refund.
Dog must be able to be staged outside in personal vehicle (engine running with heat or air conditioning on is fine). Given the tight spaces in the training area, dog must not be reactive. If your dog is reactive, consider auditing to gain this optional training information. In order take the Four Week Course, the handler/dog team must have completed the Six Week Course. Dogs in season may not attend. If your bitch is in season, consider auditing to gain this optional training information. Please note that these Courses will go forward unless cancelled by the Instructor. No refunds will be made after Thursday, May 28, 2020 and only if a written cancellation request was received by the Instructor prior to Thursday, May 28, 2020. Cancellation requests made on or after Thursday, May 28, 2020 will be honored only if there is a handler available to take the spot from a Wait List. For the Four Week Course, no refunds will be made after seven days prior to the start of the Training Session, the date of which is TBD and only if a written cancellation request was received by the Instructor seven days prior to the start of the Training Session, the date of which is TBD. Cancellation requests made seven days or less prior to the start of the Training Session, the date of which is TBD, will be honored only if there is a handler available to take the spot from a Wait List.
I HAVE READ THE ABOVE RELEASE AND WAIVER AND AGREE WITH IT 100%. I UNDERSTAND THE PENALTIES FOR NON-COMPLIANCE AND AGREE TO PARTICIPATE WITHIN THE PARAMETERS STATED IN THIS WAIVER.
